Parish Hall

The Annesley and Felley Parish Hall is situated off Byron Road in Annesley Village. Please see map below.

It is currently used by the Parish Council for their Council meetings and also the Annesley Youth Club use it for their weekly Youth Club sessions.

It is also used by several groups for meetings and also for birthday parties and wedding receptions.

Below are the Rules and Regulations for the hire of the Parish Hall and also a booking form to hire the Hall.

Conditions Of Hiring

  1. The Hirer shall ensure that during the time that the premises are used, activities are conducted in an orderly manner and under adult supervision and that the right to use the premises is exercised quietly and in a manner unlikely to cause any annoyance or inconvenience to the owners or occupiers of any adjoining or neighbouring property or to the public in general.
  2. The Hirer shall defray the cost of making good all damage caused to the premises or other property owned by the Council, which is in any way attributed to the Hirer or members of his/her organisation.
  3. The Hirer shall indemnify the Council and keep it indemnified from and against all costs, charges, claims and demands for injury, loss or damage to persons or property arising from the exercise of this right howsoever such injury, loss or damage may be caused, unless due to any negligence on the part of the Council or their servants or agents.
  4. The Hirer shall be responsible for making arrangements to insure against any third party claims, which may lie against him/her or his/her organisation whilst using the hall.
    Bookings are taken subject to the premises not being subsequently required by the Council for Parliamentary or Local Government elections. In such an event the Council will refund to the Hirer all charges made and already paid.
  5. The Council will provide a license for entertainment and the performance of music through Ashfield District Council.
  6. If it is the intention of the Hirer to sell alcoholic beverages within the hall, it is the responsibility of the Hirer to arrange the necessary Justices’ licence. It is also the Hirers responsibility to ensure that any other licences, required by law, are obtained.
  7. The use of the premises is restricted to finish at 11.30 p.m unless prior approval of a later finish has been obtained from the Council.
  8. The Council accepts no liability for goods or personal effects left on the premises by the Hirer, his servants or agents or by any user of the premises.
  9. The fixtures, fittings and equipment in the Hall are the property of the Council and must not be removed from the premises.
  10. The Council does not accept any liability in respect of the parking of any vehicle within the area of the hall.
  11. The Hirer shall, at the expiration of the hiring, remove everything brought in by him/her to the premises and will leave the premises in an orderly and clean condition.
  12. Full payment must be received when the booking of the Parish Hall is made. Should the Hirer subsequently cancel the booking the following will apply:
    • cancellation more than 14 days before the event - 75% of the booking fee will be refunded,
    • cancellation less than 14 days before the event no refund will be made.
  13. The Parish Council is committed to ensuring that Health & Safety regulations are adhered to. The Hirer will be responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety during the hire period.
  14. The Hirer is authorised as the nominated deputy in the absence of Parish Council staff.
  15. The Council reserves the right to refuse bookings or subsequently cancel them. In such situations the Council would repay any booking charges.

Please note: The Parish Hall is a no-smoking area.
